I have been working with this client since June of 2023 but I have been working for IRIS since September of 2024.
This client works at Superone three days a week and I come in for two and half hours and job shadow them. I go outside and watch over my client while they push carts in for a hour. After we come inside and I watch over while my client bags groceries and I assist if needed.
Working with this client has made me get the other clients I had/have. It has also started my career in health care and has made me want to do more and pursue as a CNA.
My first client switched companies (IRIS)
I had a client that I worked with April 2024- May 2025
I would go to their house and give their parent respite by making sure they were entertained, getting their school work done, fed, and safe. At times I would take my client out of the house and do whatever they felt like, going out to eat, going to the store, driving around, going swimming, and other activities.
I do have a current client that I do the same thing with. I have been working with this client since June of 2025. I only work Saturdays with them.
I take them out of the house for a few hours.
We do mini golf, go to the zoo, go to the park, go to adventure zone, go to McDonalds, and many other things. Once and awhile me and my client will just stay at their house.
Working for Alseth has taught me a lot of skills while working with different clients that have different needs. Some of these skills are positive reinforcement, patience, dealing with different emotions/outbursts, caring for another individual, and helping with regular day to day tasks.
