I have helped better people's lives through an acquired knowledge of the bible and God. Through this work I have witnessed how people's lives can change for the better when they have found their purpose in life and gain hope for their future. I've maintained church grounds to upkeep clean, safe, and tidy presentation. Also, I've assisted congregation members with planning and delivering personalized weddings, christenings, and funerals. Participate in giving weekly bible study sessions to those in my community, especially youths, and attend weekly meetings. I also participate yearly in special campaigns to further reach interested ones and attend yearly conventions presented in various languages.
I enjoy anything that has to do with art, whether it's music or drawing or creative writing. I also enjoy learning new languages. I am most confident in English and Spanish, but I've been learning Korean for a few years and I can happily say that I can understand quite a lot. It's to the point where I have sometimes volunteered as a part-time translator for tv shows on an online website called Viki. I don't do it often, however, due to a lack of free time. Last year (2022) I even began learning Japanese. It's not on the same level as my Korean but I'm working on it. Also, I recently started learning sign language as I've come across various individuals that I regrettably was not able to understand the message they wanted to relay and that sparked an interest in their language for me.
I hope to get a better understanding of translation in order to help those in need. There's many who don't have the abilities, time or circumstances to learn a new language and therefore struggle to properly communicate their needs. I have seen this firsthand and wish to help those I my community.
