• Receives and assembles complex rehab products before delivery
• Ensures that any rehab service is completed promptly
• Delivers and assembles home medical equipment
• Diagnoses and repairs equipment to ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Monitors and tracks inventory
• Provides additional assessment and or recommendations to the ATP to ensure patient’s needs are satisfied
• Completes continuing education on rehab products
• Demonstrated correct operation, care and calibration to on-site medical personnel.
• Maintained safe work environment and adhered to privacy regulations.

• Evaluate patients’ respiratory conditions through physical exams and review of medical histories.

• Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulse oximetry.

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy.

• Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment.

• Instruct patients and their families on how to manage respiratory conditions at home.

• Teach patients how to use inhalers, oxygen equipment, and other therapeutic devices.

• Provide emergency respiratory care in critical situations such as cardiac arrests or severe respiratory distress.

• Assist in endotracheal intubations and manage artificial airways.

• Monitor patients’ progress and response to treatments. • Document all care provided and maintain accurate patient records.

• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.

• Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and functioning correctly

.• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

• Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality care.

• Delivers medical equipment and supplies, educates the patient and/or caregiver on use, maintenance and benefits, and completes all required paperwork.
• Maintains compliance logs and applicable records and receipts per policy and procedure.
• Understands and complies with all applicable laws, rules and regulations including, but not limited to, HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA, ORCB, state Pharmacy Boards, state Respiratory Boards, state Departments of Transportation, all infection control guidelines and all laws pertaining to oxygen filling. The Medical Equipment Technician is expected to report any and all compliance or safety issues to the manager.
• Responsible for afterhours coverage with other Medical Equipment Technicians.
• Supports and participates in the training of new Medical Equipment Technicians as requested by the manager.
• Identifies patient needs and/or revenue opportunities while engaged with patients and conveys them to the Customer Service Representatives for follow-up.
• Supports vehicle maintenance by unloading and cleaning vehicle daily. Completes daily and quarterly maintenance manifests as required by policy and procedure.
• Maintains warehouse, inventory levels and equipment cleanliness and repair according to policy and procedure and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations
