Summary

I am a plant breeder and geneticist dedicated to enhancing the resilience of cereals against fungal diseases. I earned my PhD in Plant Breeding from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, where I gained valuable expertise in quantitative genetics and QTL mapping in wheat. To further develop my skills, I took on a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Purdue University, focusing on GWAS and association mapping to investigate the genetic basis of Septoria tritici blotch (STB) resistance in US soft red wheat populations. I then transitioned to KAUST, where I am currently engaged in the molecular characterization of rust resistance modifiers in wheat.
