- Summer ranch hand at a ranch 25 minutes south of Buffalo, Wyoming. Most of this summer job included irrigation work which included maintaining, starting, and ending irrigation pumps and systems. Changed irrigation sets on Roundup-Ready alfalfa and grass-alfalfa mixed fields to ensure optimal water distribution. The irrigation equipment included changing big guns, sprinkler rolls and k-lines on the property. Mowed fields, whacked weeds, repaired damaged fence sections, and cleaned tire tanks. Oversaw ranch operations during manager's absence for a week, monitoring watering systems for cows and conducting head counts to maintain herd management. Applied herbicides to control unwanted vegetation on ranch, chainsaw work, and shop cleaning were also other items.
