Being apart of Greenwood Grocery I have learned how to properly organize and maintain shelving and storage areas. Restocking items and multitasking are a huge part of the job for every shift. I'm responsible for breaking down and cleaning machines that are used everyday, as well as taking care of spills and messes to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the sales floor. It's also my responsibility to physically clean the whole store from sweeping to mopping and taking out the trash. It is important that I maintain a guest-friendly environment to help with repeat sales and provide excellent service.

I started at the golf course helping my Mom who was the GM when I was 13. I was hired when I turned 15, as a paid employee. I started out as outside staffing maintaining the carts, picking the range and running errands on the course as well as setting up for tournament and special events. When Covid hit in early 2020, I worked a lot inside of the clubhouse to help with how busy we became. I learned skills such as answering the phones, booking and checking in tee times, handling the register, processing credit cards and signing people up for memberships. I also had the opportunity to learn my way around the kitchen to prepare and serve food to guests at the golf course. Working inside the clubhouse, I had to thoroughly clean, straighten and stock merchandise from golf gear, to snack bar supplies and prep food for use in the kitchen.
