Throughout my experiences in multiple fields of work, I have gained knowledge and found my strong suit as an employee. While picking up my first job at Steindfeldt painting, I gained the trust of my boss and became the " man in charge" when he left for another job site. This job taught me how tough manual labor could be, especially when having multiple job sites. I then found myself working for Plastic Recycling. I experienced the rush of multiple orders and shipments while dealing with the pressure. I ran equipment while loading trucks as well as running machines.
Bartending at Highland Country Club was an opportunity I wasn't going to pass up. I gained communication skills and customer service skills while running the bar. I organized events and worked with spreadsheets for multiple tournaments. I then had the opportunity to work at Iowa State as both a personal trainer and strength and conditioning intern. Throughout these experiences, I learned what it takes to survive in the kinesiology work field. Out of all of the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my job experience, I am the most grateful for my strong work ethic. I have the drive to work hard no matter what I'm doing, studying, in the gym, or at work.
I'm proud of my work ethic and I know it will make me successful.
