Being able to wet mop with a bladder bag and a gas-powered pump with a hose. As well as learning to dry mop with the use of a tool and cold dirt to mix and cool the hot material.
• Watch fire line to locate spot fires, hot spots, and flareups that can pose a threat to the integrity of the Fireline.
• Being able to perform other duties while not working fire suppressing or fuel management duties. Such as timer, recreation, and reforestation.
• Performing daily PT’s to be in shape by running, performing circuits, hiking and weight training either being performed by myself or with the crew.
• Driving the crew one ton trucks and using the UTV in an efficient manner.

Working this job has taught me how to work through stressful shifts and expand my knowledge and communication skills with English and learning some Spanish.
