Campaign Director

Demand Justice

  • Managed and developed the Demand Justice Institute (DJI), the long term judicial pipeline project in five states; Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Virginia
  • Shepherded two DJI participants through the judicial process in Wisconsin where they became judges on the Court of Appeals and Circuit Court
  • Managed teams of in-state consultants to build out the year-long program including the planning and execution of a three day conference, overseeing and approving the development of the curriculum, managing the competitive application and interview process, managing the structured mentorship program and scheduling regular opportunities of engagement for each DJI class
  • Oversaw the creation and engagement of a robust DJI steering committee in each programmatic state by conducting outreach calls, hosting regular steering committee meetings, and hosting receptions for over 100 elected officials, current and former judges, academics, and political strategists across five states
  • Provided critical support to two major Supreme Court vacancy campaigns in 2020 and 2022 which included convening regular meetings, developing clear agendas and briefing memos, spearheading all follow-up conversations with partners and allies and overseeing the execution of campaign tactics
  • Served as a liaison during in-person lobby meetings between elected officials and their staff on Capitol Hill and Demand Justice volunteers from across the country with the goal of moderating a discussion around judicial policies that affect their constituencies.
