Classroom - Implemented ELDT training, covering J. J. Keller, Ohio Traffic Laws, PUCO, FMCSR material, final exam and grading. Made sure students grasp the information being given, when needed used video/picture content and hands on.

Yard/maneuverability - Teach students different parts of the truck and how to conduct a pre trip inspection. Proper way of getting in out and of the truck, how to adjust seat and steering wheel. Proper way of releasing brakes and what gears to be used on the property. Taught different maneuvers (straight line, offset left & right, sight side & blindside parallel, 90 alley dock, forward stop box).

Road - Demonstrated how to properly double clutch 10 speed transmission, gear recovery, how to smoothly change lanes & have them practice visible search and left & right turns. Made sure all traffic laws was followed during students time behind the wheel.

Scheduled DOT Physicals & Drug Test, verified, driver license & permits was valid.

Documented all training on student training card along with hours for the day, making sure student signed at end of the day. Documented any issue a student was having ie attitude, body language etc.

Scheduled test appointments.

Firm believer that everyone learns different and at a different pace.

Overseen the daily operations of the school.

Hired and trained new employees how to teach, best way to do a maneuver before they tested for their instructor license.

Coordinated with main office (Missouri) on new student arrivals.

School was mainly a Contract School, dealt with many different carriers/contracts for their new hires.

Assigned students to different instructors daily. Calculated training hours at end of the day, addressed any concerns from students or instructors. Assigned someone weekly to transport students back and forth from hotel.

Attended main office meetings via Zoom weekly and when needed. Administered state required assessments on instructors for their licenses, attended all continuing education classes at ODPS headquarters in Columbus.

Pre trip truck and trailer, picked up and delivered loads primarily

Massillon to Hillside NJ following hours of service FMCSR.

OTR driver and trainer for a fleet owner.

Inspection of truck and trailer daily, accepted loads and negotiated rates if outside of expedited area. Secured loads using E- Track System or blocking. Delivered time sensitive loads on or before time. Followed FMCSR and local & state laws.

Trained other drivers in combination vehicles or straight trucks how/what was involved with being a expeditor for 3 weeks (training). Traveled mainly between Laredo, TX and Long Island, NY, South Carolina and Missouri.
