• Hired into a newly created role to build internal tax capabilities post-spin.
• Goal of the position was to drive the tax provision reporting process to public company readiness.
• Lead global tax provision reporting for 115+ entities across 28+ jurisdictions, including U.S. consolidated, for quarterly and year-end audited financials.
• Responsible for 3 sets of financials on a quarterly basis including consolidation and 2 segments.
• Lead implementation of Oracle Tax Provision software
• Review tax impacts of planning strategies, M&A activity, and purchase price accounting each quarter.
• Manage ASC 740-10 reporting for Uncertain Tax Positions, including identification, calculation, and documentation.
• Review valuation allowances positions and DTA schedule scheduling, as needed.
• Serve as tax lead for provision/forecasting meetings and cross-functional coordination.

QuidelOrtho is a global leader in in vitro diagnostics with $3B in annual revenue. Ortho Clinical Diagnostics went public in January 2021 and was acquired by Quidel in May 2022, forming QuidelOrtho, a publicly traded company.

• Managed global tax provision for U.S. consolidated and 50+ jurisdictions for quarterly and annual audited filings.
• Led tax reporting for Quidel’s $6B acquisition of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (May 2022) and Ortho’s IPO (Jan 2021, Form S-1).
• Designed and implemented SOX narratives, controls, and IPE documentation; resolved audit deficiencies.
• Implemented OneSource Tax Provision software and modules (Global Access Manager, DataFlow, UTPs).
• Built global 5-year and 10-year tax forecasting models for cash tax expense, GAAP tax expense and adjusted net income tax expense.
• Represented Tax in cross-functional quarterly and year-end provision and forecasting meetings; coordinated key deliverables.
• Developed high-performing teams by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for professional growth.
