Experienced electrician with a desire to start a new phase in life by helping to power a brewery to success combining my industrial/construction background with my growing brewery experience.
As a fan of beer, I have continually found ways to be connected to the beer industry and brewing process:
I am a member of Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative In Minnesota. At Broken Clock, I have served as a brewery volunteer, working at beer festivals setting up the tent, setting up the taps and connecting kegs lines, pouring beers, and recruiting attendees to sample our beers. I enjoyed both the work of "setting up the bar" as well as the personal interactions while sharing our beer with festival attendees.
After retiring from electrical work, I took a job at Valley Fair, the amusement park in Minnesota. As a food warehouse, I was responsible for both incoming deliveries and ensuring the various food stands had the supplies they needed. When deliveries arrived, I would take receipt of deliveries, catalog the products and shelve the food in the warehouse, Then, when stores needed more supplies, I would fulfull their requests by picking the products they needed and delivering it to them in the park. Finally, I would conduct inventory so new supplies could be ordered.
Over 40 years as a high voltage electrician working in a variety of settings from industrial environments, nuclear power plants, artic pipelines, and even new NFL stadiums. On jobsites, my duties have ranged from independent contributor to foreman to job steward and a general foreman.. Electrical work requires problem solving, attention to detail. and a commitment to a quality finished product, all of which are needed in a brewery as well.
