The sole armed security in Walla Walla County Superior Court. Responsible for the safety of the Judges, Attorneys, all other employees and the public while attending Court. Use of a walk through metal detector as well as a hand wand to secure all possible weapons and maintaining order under potentially volatile situations mainly via quick thinking, and good verbal skills.

Full police powers officer in Washington State. Mainly responsible for detection, apprehension, and prosecution of anyone violating hunting and fishing laws anywhere in the state. Secondarily responsible for enforcing all other laws of the state including traffic infractions. Also responsible for making physical arrests when encountering people with either misdemeanor or felony warrants, transporting and delivering them to jail. Interacting with landowners and the public on issues regarding dangerous wildlife or wildlife crop depredation. Dangerous wildlife solutions included scary away tactics, trapping and relocation, and lethal removal. Public speaking engagements included testimony on Capital Hill, at numerous civic organizations, at schools, and involvement in all local Hunter Education classes each fall. I was also the State’s only three disciple instructor, including being the Master instructor for Emergency Vehicle Operation Course (EVOC). Planning, scheduling, and implementing pursuit and precision driving instruction for all of WDFW’s enforcement officers as well as training several local County Sheriff’s office deputies. I was also a federally certified motor boat operator instructor and a federally certified all terrain vehicle (ATV) instructor.
