  • Provides specific, detailed knowledge and expertise of military personnel practices and programs including strength management, unit readiness, personnel readiness, replacement operations; records management, separations, personnel actions, the SGM Military Personnel Exchange Program (MPEP), the Nominative Sergeant Major Program, centralized promotion board membership and SGM/CSM assignments
  • Conducts detailed examinations of strengths for several Career Management Fields (CMF) and formally presents to senior leadership
  • Attends annual Selection Objective Requirement (SOR) training and recommends increases and decreases of requirements
  • Leads the Strength Management Team and performs as a Strength Manager for CMF's 13, 14, 31, 42 and 74; operates as the subject matter expert in reviewing and analyzing military personnel strength data versus authorizations
  • Conducts complex analyzes of dynamic force structure changes; applies extensive knowledge of the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) to build requisitions required for assignment management
  • Satisfies Unit Status Reports (USRs) against the Division database and generates them in order to perform an in-depth analysis for CMF reviews or as needed
  • Uses FMSWEB daily in order monitor and oversee any additions or reductions to authorizations within the various CMFs that I manage; updates Division data base accordingly
  • Generates worksheets according to priorities established by Army Chief of Staff Manning Guidance and ensures Talent Managers/Assignment Managers fill according to established guidelines
  • Manages the SGM MPEP program for seven different countries; works closely with stakeholders, Army G3/5/7, and host nation countries in order to identify qualified candidates, build packets, gathers data and process nominations
  • Serves as the SGM/CSM Assignment Manager for the
  • Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), responsible for processing reassignments for all SGMs/CSMs in CMFs 18, 37 and 38; executes assignments for all USASOC slated positions
  • Works closely with the
  • Nominative Sergeant Major Program, Office of the Sergeant Major of the Army and processes all NOM SGM/CSM assignments Army-wide
  • Leads the Board Membership Team, serves as the point of continuity; reviews SGM/CSM records, including DA photos, IPERMS, NCOERS, etc and selects the most highly qualified to sit on all DA centralized promotion boards

  • Notes errors in data by comparison of historical information, reports and other data elements; determines causes of inconsistencies when figures conflict
  • Coordinates and verifies accuracy of corrections with the specific Career Branch, and other action- officers
  • Initiates actions resulting from higher headquarters and/or field inquiries regarding actions, past decisions or other non-routine circumstances
