LATRELL BULLCHILD

LATRELL BULLCHILD

Missoula,MT

Summary

I am Native American member of the Blackfeet Tribe, located in Browning Montana. I have gained my educational experience on the Reservations, as well as attending grades 6-8th grade at Missoula Montana. I have gained the experience of living in both worlds and know what it takes to be a success and survive the challenges. I can work well with Administrative levels, co-workers, and I believe in Team building to reach the end goals. I enjoyed my time as a University of Montana college student, as my first year of college was during COVID and I had to work mostly independent to finish my first year. I have the ability to communicate through effective teamwork and collaboration. I am committed to delivering high-quality service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Internship Student

Pikuni Lodge Health Institute

* I gained knowledge in land conditions: rock formation; water resources, affect of weed infestation during drought years, identifying plants, ponds, natural spring developments, solar systems and how to test soil conditions. This information would help in writing a grazing plan, should the day come that I apply for a permit and/or provide assistance to Operator’s.

There is a lot to learn about the land base and this opportunity to participate as an Intern, I can fall back on. I will even be able to help my family with decisions and maybe contribute the knowledge to their existing grazing and land usage. I am a 6th generation of this Family that ranches on the East side of the Rocky Mountain Front

.

  • I Developed professional skills through hands-on experiences, including time management and effective communication. I and another Intern presented to the class and those that were in Administrative positions for the program. That was a first time experience.

  • I Received positive feedback from supervisors, reflecting a strong commitment to personal growth and development throughout the internship program.

  • Gained practical experience in various aspects of the field, applying academic knowledge to real-world situations.

  • It was expected to delivered high-quality work consistently, demonstrating strong work ethic and dedication to the internship program.
  • Analyzed problems and worked with teams to develop solutions. The Supervisor's allowed the Interns to identify and voice our scenarios about the findings during field visits.

  • Participated in workshops and presentations related to the projects to learn about regenerative grazing of the land and what is needed for conservation to preserve it.
