I want to take the opportunity to introduce myself as a potential candidate for employment. I have a passion for the healthcare industry and would be grateful for the chance to use my Master’s degree in Health Communications to the Henry County location of West Tennessee Healthcare. I have read the details for the Marketing Coordinator position and I know I can do this job! Marketing and Communications have always encompassed every work position I have obtained throughout my career. As Director of Admissions at Trinity Christian Academy, it was my job to develop and execute all forms of marketing related to admissions and the recruitment of new students. This ranged from television spots, to print ads, website entries, social media postings, mailouts and even billboards. I organized and oversaw all admissions events and an open house that welcomed over 100 potential new families through the door. I wrote many of the marketing campaigns used to promote the school. I developed my leadership skills as the Membership Manager of the Lift Wellness Center. I oversaw a staff of fifteen employees. I executed and managed various membership promotion events and worked with our Marketing Coordinator to create enticing events to increase membership. This position is what inspired me to further my education in the healthcare community. I would be eager to use my education, skillset and work experience execute marketing plans, manage social media platforms, organize special events and attend community events to promote the hospital. I attended Chamber of Commerce coffees and served on the Downtown Paris Association board while employed with Commercial Bank. I love Henry County and the surrounding counties and want to help these communities receive the best possible health care. The role as Member Manager, as well as others, throughout my career have allowed me the opportunity to improve and excel when developing marketing campaigns. I have also been a business owner and work very well under pressure. I have a keen understanding that each business day can present opportunities and challenges. I am eager to embrace both with tenacity and vigor. I am currently working on my Masters in Health Communications with the University of Illinois-Urbana. This is an online program that is designed with working professionals in mind. This allows me to work full-time and still pursue this goal. I will complete the Master’s program in March of 2025 and have a 3.95 GPA. I have completed all the classwork for the program and I am currently working on my Capstone paper. During my studies, I have explored methods of effectively communicating with the patient and exploring how the provider can meet the patient’s needs by improving communications. I have spent hours learning about the methods behind developing quantitative and qualitative data to determine what communications methods have produced the best results. I have experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Canva. I also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. I am so eager and excited to speak with you and share my passion for health communications and the health care field.
