Laura Bullock

I specialize in animal care at the Petco in Media. I worked at the Paoli store for 2 years, then transferred to the Media one in August.

Here, I take care of the animals by feeding them in the morning or at night, socializing them by holding or petting them, and I provide fresh water for them. Depending on the animal, I make sure their habitats are set up appropriately. Animals I take care of range from small animals such as rodents, to reptiles such as tortoises, or animals like snakes, lizards, dragons, or cockroaches.

At this job, I served customers their food by making it in front of them. This allowed me to make changes to their meals when asked, or to accommodate foods when problems occurred. I also cleaned dishes at the end of the night, and the entire restaurant from the help of the crew I was working with.

In this job, I worked with kids aged from six weeks to seven years. I mainly worked in the infant room, where I would feed infants bottles or lunch, teach them how to crawl or walk, put them down for naptime, and chart their activities whenever they were completed. At the end of the day, I would greet parents and tell them how their childs day went by showing them the charts i filled out, and going over everything step-by-step.

I would walk around the arcade and fix machines that were not working properly. I would also monitor basketball courts to make sure children were playing appropriately and respectfully. I worked with children from five-twelve years of age.
