Downloading reports from CGM or Glucometer documenting in patients chart for provider to review. Performing routine foot exams every 6 months. Finger sticks performed at every visit to check glucose level and A1c every 3 months along with blood draws every 3 months or 6 months. Review patient education regarding hyper/hypoglycemia symptoms and what steps to take incase of high or low glucose levels. Review patient education on any assigned education per provider. Retinal imaging performed every 6 months. Administered vaccines per provider order. Addressing any tests patient due for Breast Exam, Pap smears, Colon testing, HIV and Hep C testing. Exam room maintenance,restock and sanitizing after every visit.
  • General Medicine - Assist in rooming patients obtaining vitals and chief complaint. Routine vaccines per provider order. Assist in physicals performing vision and audiometer exams. Assist with procedures and setting up sterile and non sterile procedure trays. Instructing and preparing patient for procedures including preparing exam room for any in house procedures eg: Pap smears, suture placement and removal, wound care sterile/ non- sterile, ear lavage's and EKG.
  • Administrative - Preparing/scrubbing patients chart 2 weeks in advance. Obtaining any necessary consult notes from outside providers related to patient visit. Patient appointment confirmation 24-48 hrs prior to appointment. Initiating and completing Prior Authorizations using covermymeds or Advanced diabetes supplies. Create referrals per providers orders for outside specialist or Internal eg: Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Podiatry. Scheduling any recommended appointments by provider. Using CAIR site to verify any recommended vaccines. Completing monthly Relias trainings.
  • Other routine responsibilities - Autoclave any used instruments. Assist in setting up video calls or phone calls for Telehealth visits. Every first of the month checking all expiration dates on supplies in assigned exam room replacing any expired supplies.

  • Assist in Biote Hormone Pellet therapy insertions preparing exam room with sterile drapes, prefill Lidocaine injectable and medical instruments on rolling surgical tray along with preparing provider for sterile procedure, dress and bandage insertion site
  • Patient education on recovery and care of surgical wound
  • Conduct Testosterone (IM) injections to patients on a weekly basis per Physician orders, perform venipuncture blood draws to determine hormone levels every 3 to 6 months if required therapeutic blood draws are performed per Provider order.
