Dynamic Registered Nurse with over two decades of experience at Methodist LeBonaher Hospital, specializing in family birthing units and newborn care. Excelled in patient education, care planning, and staff leadership, ensuring high-quality care and efficient team coordination. Renowned for compassion, clinical judgment, and fostering patient and family advocacy. Achieved significant improvements in patient satisfaction and care continuity.
I spent 10 years in the Family Birthing Unit, with 3 of the years in the Clinical Lead position. In this unit we managed the care of Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Well-Baby, and Gyn patients. As a clinical lead I not only managed the care of patients, I was responsible for being in charge of my shift, as well as, planning the staffing needs of the next shift. I also was responsible for making the schedule for the next 4 week schedule period. I assisted with evaluation of my staff on my shift.
Currently, I have been on disability due to having a stroke and also, the effects related to covid left me requiring oxygen and a walker/scooter. I have been stable for well over a year and feel like I would be able to do a good job with this position. I do see my doctors regularly and would require time for the appointments, but I am ready to attempt to get back to some form of work. I am unfortunately unable to go back to nursing, but having been in a hospitality type of career and being in a supervisory role at times, I feel that this would work well in my circumstances. I hope you will be willing to give me a chance to prove myself.
