
Volunteering with the Cultural Events committee for the Sakura Foundation which is working on several Japanese American events in Denver, CO.
Increased fundraising efforts by reaching out to my own personal network that I have been cultivating. Increased donor support for organization.
Worked on the Day of Remembrance event for 2026 by securing the presenter.
Currently serving as an advocate for the organization by working with other Japanese American groups as well as other marginalized groups.
I currently work with the committee on any requested projects. I am currently running the social media for the committee.
2023- NCPH Conference- Session "Who Writes Our History?" and a pilgrimage to Topaz for a ceremony honoring James Wakasa.
2024- JACSC Conference- Session and Healing Circle.
2025- Article in "High Country News" called "The Murder, the Museum, and the Monument".
2025- Manzanar pilgrimage ceremony.
2025- JAMP Symposium "Changing Perspectives on Japanese American Incarceration"- Session- "Tragedy and the Teachings of the Wakasa Murder Today".
2025- Minidoka Pilgrimage.
2025- Open letter to the Topaz Museum Board- signed by over 1,200 professionals, survivors, descendants, and supporters.
2025- JAMP "Tadaima" virtual event- Session- "Rock of Ages- A Town Hall on the Open Letter".
