When I was a little girl I created a girl power business with my mother. This company was a jewelry brand and the heart of the message was to inspire girls to be their authentic selves. We promoted girl empowerment through our jewelry, website stories, social media posts, and even hosted girl power summits; girls from all around the US flew into Boston for our event where we held confidence building activities and photoshoots. Our mission was to create a welcoming community where all girls not only felt accepted but proud of who they were. As a little girl I modeled the jewelry and helped my mom make the pieces. Once I got older I was able to get a strong understanding of the business perspective. I helped run the social media, work with manufacturers, process inventory, pack orders, and all the inside outs of a small business. I am so grateful for this beautiful business I was able to create with my mother and all of the wonderful girls we met in the process.
