Lauren Handy

I’m a police officer and Coast Guard veteran who has always been driven by the desire to serve and protect. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in both military and law enforcement settings—handling everything from emergency response to community outreach. I’ve learned how to stay calm under pressure, lead with empathy, and be someone others can rely on. I’m currently finishing my degree in Global Affairs and Legal Studies and planning to pursue a master’s in Homeland Security to continue growing and making a meaningful difference in the field.

• Supported homeland security and drug interdiction missions through small boat operations, port security patrols, and emergency response. Worked closely with interagency partners, conducted safety checks, and enforced maritime laws. Trained in navigation, threat assessments, and operated independently under pressure in rapidly changing environments.
