Summary

I am pursuing a career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because of my personal experiences with mental health challenges within my family. Witnessing loved ones struggle opened my eyes to the impact that mental health has on overall well-being and the gaps that exist in access to compassionate, effective care. These experiences not only deepened my understanding of certain mental health conditions but also the emotional and psychological burden individuals and families carry. This has inspired a strong desire to be part of the solution. As a PMHNP, I aim to provide empathetic, evidence-based care and advocate for patients navigating similar challenges, helping to improve both their quality of life and the support available to their families. I am hoping to find a preceptor who shares the same values and also has a passion to educate. I am highly committed to learning as much as I can and build onto my current knowledge through the precepting process.
