Serve as the sole public voting member on a Foreign Service Promotion Board, evaluating and ranking the accomplishments of more than 20% of the entire Foreign Service with political-public diplomacy, and consular-management specializations.

  • Elevated U.S. national security interests by reviewing, assessing, and ranking 3,200 DoS Foreign Service officers throughout 3 promotion cycles.
  • Reviewed 40 files per day with each containing 5 years of information, including work history, location, and experiences.
  • Contributed to the promotion panel as a private sector representative, reviewing hundreds of classified personnel files of officers seeking promotion and deliberating with panel members to assign individual rankings to each applicant officer.
  • Selected by the Director General of the Foreign Service to provide an in-depth analytical perspective and overview on panel discussions.
  • Granted a Public Trust security clearance by the Department of State.
