Before departing, studied customs and cultural awareness throughout the spring semester. Then in May, traveled to Munich, Germany to observe and measure air quality and urban heat island effects. Studied and forecasted mountain meteorology in Innsbruck, Austria. The education abroad portion was a two-week experience between the two countries.
Wrote and published weather articles to provide continuous digital content. Practiced forecasting and presenting in front of green screen. Traveled with meteorologists into the field to report on local events in San Antonio.
