My work experience covers 6 years as a union leader and 14 years as a manager so working through labor and employee relations has been a better part f my success in the federal sector. where I have grown and been successful is stakeholder relationships that cross multiple disciplines in the world of travel and free trade.

Principle manager for the Port of Atlanta overseeing a staff of 406 employees and a $3 million dollar budget.  Under my leadership the Port of Atlanta processEd over 5.6 million international passengers and over $2 billion in trade (cargo) through foreign trade zones and bonded warehouse.  We conduct General aviation clearance at to county air fields.


CBP primary mission is to protect the Homeland while fostering free trade and travel.  my assignments include  Nassau, Bahamas, Vancouver, British Columbia, Toronto, Ontario,

Air Marine Operation Center, National Target Center and San Ysidro Port of Entry


As a manager I look for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness through leading people, leadership change, building relationships and  Business concepts and best practice.  Leading from the top requires transparency and empathy.

As the Port Director , I lead a staff of 160 employees in the processing of over 8 million passengers and a $4.2 million budget. Because this was a foreign assignment I had to do most of the labor employee relation work To include host meetings with Canadian stakeholder,  U.S. Consultant and local law enforcement on a wide variety of issues centered  around E visa requirements, NAFTA, Global Entry, NEXUS, trade and travel to the United States.  Meet with Canadian government officials RCMP, Global Affairs, Transport Canada, Public Safety and Canada Border Services Agency.

As the principal manager I lead a staff of 108 employees and a $3.5 million budge.  I had oversight of CBP Preclearance operations at the Vancouver International Airport (YYZ), Amtrak Rail (Vancouver to Seattle) and Canada Place cruise ship Operation ( Alaska ) and served as the area director over Victoria BC ferry boat operations to Seattle, Port Angeles and  Anacortes, Washington.


Enforced over 400 laws for State, local and other federal Agencies with a focus on terrorism and weapons of mass destruction protection the regions $55 billion trade industry.
