June 2017 - April 2020 3 days/week). Volunteered at Veterinary Health Care Center in Monterey Park, California. Tasks included shadowing veterinary technicians with the purpose of assisting in basic tasks such as obtaining patient's vital signs, preparing exam rooms for procedures, holding animals during procedures, stocking supplies for the technicians, and feeding and walking animals that were in the clinic for boarding services. Since my field of interest is in veterinary, the clinic's owner and main veterinarian, allowed me to shadow him during procedures such as regular exams and surgeries. This was a special task that was usually not given to volunteers.

October 2018 - March 2020 (1-2 days/week). Volunteered at Marguerita Elementary School in the TK, and kindergarten classrooms. Assisted teachers with ono-to-one instruction for children who might have been struggling with completing tasks in the classroom or needing additional attention to learn the routines of the classroom. Helped teachers prepare materials needed for their classroom activities, provided assistance during school special events and field trips.
