• Monitor inmates for unusual behavior, improper conduct, or signs of conflict. Defuse disruptive behavior of inmates by verbal interventions. Control disruptive behavior by verbal orders or appropriate use of physical force. Use communication skills to detect inmate problems such as suicide risk, drug usage, etc.
• Ensure the facility is provided high quality security services to protect people and property. Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons. Report safety concern, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
• Supervision and Monitoring of inmates in housing units and inmates assigned to special confinement. Counting of inmates regular and irregular intervals and keeping a total count of inmates and their location. Conducting random housing unit and perimeter security checks of the institution.
