I am Leila Mehmedovic.
I am 19 years old and a junior at Monmouth University with three semesters left. I will graduate before I am 21.
This is because, In high school, I did an Early College Academy (ECA) program. It allowed me to take Brookdale Community courses while attending a local public school, Raritan High School. Fun fact, I graduated from Brookdale before I did Raritan by nearly two months!
Also, in high school, I was an active member of the RAINE foundation. I would volunteer for local soup kitchens, christmas wrappings, canned item organization, or thanksgiving food drives.
Throughout my time in both Raritan and Monmouth, I have grown incredible experience in the world of communications and media. I have been enrolled in many writing, editing, producing, and communication/public speaking courses. Needless to say, I am a very adaptable and versatile asset to anyone's team.
At Monmouth University, I am an active member of WMXC's radio show as well as Hawk TV. If I am not in front of the mic or TV, I am often working behind the scenes doing technical aspects.
Outside of school on the weekends, I work at Shear Class Hair Salon in Hazlet, New Jersey. I mainly work as an assistant at the salon for the stylists. While it may not necessarily be labeled a communications-based job, I deal with different personalities constantly. Each client that walks in is different. Working as an assistant to a business, I have the experience of dealing with a client properly, knowing when to refuse a client (if necessary), and how to bring new clients in.
Thank you for taking the time to read my resume!
I successfully graduated from the Early College Academy Program, leaving the program making Dean's List for the entirety of my senior year of high school.
At Monmouth University, I have a 3.94 GPA. I have made Dean's List every semester and have earned an academic scholarship because of it.
