Inspired by visits to Mexico, I pursued a career in social work with experiences in domestic violence, trauma, conflict management and conflict resolution. I have experience communicating with and showing empathy for victims and offenders. I have worked in the classroom with inmates setting up goals for transitions services and future plans for graduation, sobriety and dealing with domestic violence. I have also worked in a domestic violence shelter and in a correctional facility that persuaded me to pursue my Masters in Clinical Social Work offered at NMHU. I am a certified Licensed Substance Abuse Associate.
