Leilani Curiel

Served as a youth sports coach in a school setting, teaching fundamental athletic skills while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development. Planned and led engaging practices, encouraged student participation, and created a positive, supportive environment where children could build confidence, improve physical fitness, and develop a strong work ethic both on and off the field.

As an Activity Leader at the Boys & Girls Club, I had the joy of creating a positive and welcoming space where children felt safe, supported, and excited to learn and play. I organized and led fun, engaging activities that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence while building meaningful relationships with club members. Through encouragement, patience, and mentorship, I helped foster a sense of belonging and inspired youth to grow, explore new interests, and believe in their abilities.

Worked as a camp counselor at a summer camp for children with congenital heart defects, helping create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where campers could participate in recreational and social activities. Assisted with daily programs, encouraged camper engagement, and provided mentorship while collaborating with staff to ensure each child had a positive and memorable experience. Helped make it possible for campers to enjoy many of the same activities and experiences as their peers, fostering confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Worked in a special needs program dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities for individuals of all abilities. Supported participants in sports activities, theater productions, and educational programs designed to promote personal growth, confidence, teamwork, and skill development. Fostered a positive, accessible environment that encouraged learning, creativity, and participation without barriers, helping individuals reach their full potential.

I had the privilege of supporting a kindergarten classroom by helping create a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where young learners could grow and thrive. Assisted with daily lessons and activities, provided individualized support to students, encouraged creativity and curiosity, and helped children build confidence, friendships, and a love of learning. Worked closely with the teacher to ensure each child felt valued, supported, and successful throughout the school day.
