To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my interest in a teaching or support role within Chicago Public Schools. As a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Calumet College of St. Joseph, and with hands-on experience working with children through positions at PODS Preschool, Jety Activity Children’s Center, and Phalanx Family Services, I bring both academic preparation and a strong passion for working with students. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have consistently prioritized leadership, communication, and creativity. As a former student-athlete on multiple women’s college basketball teams, I developed strong teamwork and time management skills that I carry into every role. My background also includes work in early childhood settings and youth engagement, giving me a well-rounded foundation to support diverse learners in the classroom. Additionally, my involvement in music education—including deejaying workshops and vocal performances—has shaped my ability to connect with students through creativity and cultural awareness, qualities I know are important to CPS’s mission. I am deeply committed to creating positive, supportive environments where all students can thrive.
