Responsibilities include:

• Conduct precise measurements & collect field data using tools such as total stations, laser scanners, and GPS equipment.
• Establish reference points and control for construction and manufacturing projects.
• Analyze measurement data to ensure compliance with project specifications and tolerances.
• Post-processing data using software like Spatial Analyzer, Cyclone REGISTER 360, & AutoCAD.
• Direct & guide other crew members and/or other crews on task objectives to be completed.
• Verify that structures and components meet dimensional accuracy standards.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of survey results using software like Auto-Cad, Excel, and Word.
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, data analysis, and quality control checks.
• Ensure all surveying activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
• Promote and adhere to safety guidelines on-site.
• Identify and resolve measurement and alignment issues during the construction or manufacturing process.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions to maintain project accuracy.
• Stay updated with advancements in surveying technology and techniques.
• Participate in training programs and continuous professional development.
• Communicating results in person to supervisors and sending reports electronically.

Assist the surveyor in conducting land surveys, collecting data, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilites include:

• Assist the surveyor with setting up and operating surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.
• Help in measuring distances, angles, and elevations accurately.
• Transport, set up, and dismantle surveying equipment at job sites.
• Ensure that all surveying tools and equipment are clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
• Record field notes and measurements as directed by the surveyor.
• Assist in marking survey points and boundaries on the ground.
• Place and remove stakes, flags, and other markers to identify reference points and boundaries.
• Clear brush, debris, and other obstacles from survey lines to provide clear paths for measurement.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining survey sites.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Work effectively as part of a survey team, communicating and coordinating tasks with the surveyor and other team members.
• Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Help in maintaining accurate and organized field notes, sketches, and records of survey activities.
• Assist in transferring field data to the office for further processing.
• Perform general labor duties such as carrying equipment, driving survey vehicles, and other tasks as needed.
• Assist in loading and unloading equipment and materials.
• Show a willingness to learn and develop surveying skills and knowledge.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops as required.
