As a young college student, I wish to gain more knowledge in all engineering fields, especially mechanical, through work experience and building connections with the professionals in the field. I'm a fast learner and am very eager to start my engineering journey.
At UCI Catering, I work to ensure top-quality presentation of buffet setups at numerous campus locations through meticulous attention to detail. From plastic to hand-polished glassware, there's a high-expection of the students and the effort they put in to make each and every event as perfect as it can be for the customer(s).
At Kingsmill, especially in the Summer, I worked many hours in hot sun, coaching tennis to all ages from five to fifty years of age, improving their tennis with the tips I could give them, and building great connections along the way. In addition to this, I often handled the court maintenance of the clay courts at Kingsmill, where I ensure the underground water irritating system is up and running, sweep courts, nailing down lines when needed, and just fix brushes, machines, or any other equipment that is having any issues; gaining some engineering skills from the job along the way too.
At Harris Teeter and Statbucks, I did various tasks to help the company that include:
