With a strong background in retail management, notably at Food City Supermarkets, I excel in employee development and effective communication. My journey from frying chicken to managing meat and dairy departments showcases my ability to lead with a positive attitude, ensuring workplace safety and enhancing customer relations. My skills in merchandising strategies and team leadership have consistently improved department efficiency.
Customer service, communication, overseeing the department and employees, scheduling, delegating tasks, checking/writing emails, organizing, keeping all paperwork up to date, making sure the department is neat and well maintained, ordering to fill the department needs, counting for inventory, and etc..
I went from frying chicken in a kitchen for two months to running my first department which was dairy for two years. I made sure it was stocked, clean, and organized. I went into a training program for 17 weeks. I trained in each department with the best department leads. After finishing the program I was promoted to assistant store manager. For three years I would work various shifts overseeing each department of the whole store, stocking, organizing, providing customer service, handling unsatisfied customers, delegating tasks, inventory, and etc.. I realized while training I enjoyed the meat department and having that trade would benefit me better financially and give me better hours to spend with family. So, I transitioned to meat and learned a lot more about the cuts, how to cut, and how to use the equipment. I went through a cutting class, was trained, and was ready to move into managing my own department.
Reason for leaving: I moved here to Louisiana.
