  • Primary responsibilities and main focus include:
  • -Microbiology
  • In charge of all microbiology related analysis and supplies for the Lab including:
  • Fecal Coliform analysis of the plant effluent
  • Microbiology analysis of harbor samples including Fecal Coliform, Enterococcus Faecalis and E.coli bacteria
  • Responsible for formulating dilution water, and broths pertaining to the analysis and verification for the microbiology lab
  • Responsible for maintaining all verification procedures for the following Microbiology inventory:
  • Dilution water
  • Verification broths
  • Sample plates used for Fecal, Entero, and E.coli analysis
  • All QC Analysis including quarterly QC and yearly PT
  • In charge of all special study’s assigned to the Microbiology lab including the organization of supplies needed, paperwork, data entry and analysis, and actual setting of samples

  • -Daily TRC (Total Residual Chlorine)
  • -Chain of Custody: Responsibilities include receiving, pouring, labeling, and distributing plant samples to assorted sections of the lab, which are then tested for various analysis
  • Receiving and accurate record keeping of industrial samples brought in by PVSC inspectors
  • Preparing chain of custody paperwork for in-house and outside laboratories
