• Perform all duties of a Park Safety Officer
• Supervise the duties of Park Safety Officers
• Create scheduling and day-to-day assignments
• Assist Police staff and command staff with special duties
• Work as a dispatcher, allocating resources for specific incidents (assist guests, medical responses, police calls)

• Enforce Brookfield Zoo Chicago's policies, rules, and procedures such as ensuring guests are not climbing on fencing, feeding the animals, going in restricted areas, etc.
• Provide access control to the park after hours, as well as during events. (concerts, BZC Holiday events, etc.)
• Assist Guests with directions and overall park information (hours of operation, special event times, etc)
• Assist lost persons in finding their designated party
• Pick up and turn in lost and found
• Provide Transportation to elderly guests and disabled
• Clear exhibits and properly secure buildings
• Assist Police Officers with major emergencies
• Know PSO regulations
• Observe Staff and guest activities
• Traffic Control and Crowd
• Identify possible hazards to guests
• Assist my supervisors with administration tasks
• Work the Dispatch Desk, which includes answering general phone calls from guests, answering emergency calls, designating the proper units to respond
• Properly file lost and found items and incident cards.
• Clean and maintain the carts and Patrol vehicles
