Postpartum Doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support to new parents during the postpartum period, helping them recover from childbirth and adjust to life with a newborn.

Key responsibilities,

Educate and assist with infant feeding(breast-feeding, bottle, feeding, or combination).

Provide newborn care guidance(bathing, diapering, soothing, sleep, routines).

Help establish daily routines and promote parent confidence.

Offer resources and referrals for lactation, consultants, pediatricians, or therapist when needed.

Provide non-judgmental emotional support for both parents.

• Assisted clients in developing personalized birth plans to enhance comfort and support during labor.
• Provided emotional and physical support to mothers throughout pregnancy and postpartum periods.
• Facilitated communication between clients and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making during childbirth.
• Educated families on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and postpartum recovery strategies.
• Maintained up-to-date knowledge of current research related to pregnancy, childbirth procedures, newborn care practices through continuing education opportunities.
• Collaborated with fellow doulas to share best practices and learn from one another''s experiences in order to continually improve the quality of support provided to clients.
• Developed trusting relationships with clients by actively listening to their concerns and addressing their needs during prenatal visits.
