Summary

WORK FORCE EDUCATION ESSAY My school career goal is to complete and learn the safe techniques and driving skills of a semi-truck driver. Upon completion of the course, I will have the knowledge and the skills to pass the Washington State exam for the CDL license. I feel experiences and education should continue thru out ones life no matter what age you are. Age is only mind over matter. My mind is made up to become a truck driver. I am highly motivated and eagerly to learn to reach my goal. There is always one more goal to reach for if you are willing to work hard to accomplish it. In 1962, age 21, I drove a Mac and Ford semi truck across the country. At that time no CDL license was required, The scenery of our country was beautiful and breath-taking with life time memories. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would like to revisit the many memories. Now, of course, I need a special license. The tuition is very expensive. Funding to help me achieve my goal will be greatly appreciated. Big Ben Community College has highly skilled, informative teachers to guide and provide this education to help me reach my goal as a license truck driver. After graduation from CDL school and obtaining my license, I will be applying to local and national trucking companies. I feel Big Ben Community College has the credentials that are required and recognized by the trucking companies to be hired as one of their employees. That is why I choose this college. I feel with confidence my education at Big Ben will be highly employable. Funding for this course will help me be successful in accomplishing my goal for employment in the trucking career. With my fortitude, hard work, I will achieve my goal as semi-truck driver and see America the beautiful while serving this industry.
