Work History

Railroad Limo Driver Transportion

Hallcon Corporation
Houston, TX
06.2024 - Current
  • Organized and coordinated customer pick-ups and drop-offs in a timely manner. As a driver, I must follow all the rules and safety regulations required by the state and DOT regulations. This starts with the proper maintenance being done on the vehicle, and it should be recorded if any repairs need to be made. It should be noted if the vehicle is not in satisfactory condition; it should not be driven. As a driver, you must assist the rail crew with building a train, shelving a train, and assisting them to get on the main line. Any one of these activities will put you in close range with the locomotor. The driver had to remember to be safe at all times; therefore, no crew member or the driver is injured. The driver had to remember that accidents are 100% preventable; he has to be the extra pair of eyes between the engineer and the conductor.

Owner/Director

  • Managed daily operations of the business; as the manager, no job was too big or too small. This included hands-on projects or filling roles. Sometimes, repairs will have to be made to the building; this may include using hand tools or lawn equipment to manicure the yard and playground. I overlooked the daily activities regarding the maintenance of the vans and the building. Safety was the number one priority on this job. All the paperwork had to be documented, turned in, and available for state license review at any time they needed to see it. Communication skills are very important, both verbal and written. This is something that I had to display every day, along with being punctual.

Semi Truck Driver

Unlimited trucking
Houston, Texas
06.2011 - 07.2016

Pre-trip vehicle safety checks started every day, and a post-trip check was conducted at the end of the day. As a driver, I had to follow the rules and regulations of DOT federal regulation. Safety was the number one priority over all things. This means I must check the load, the route, the weather, and the traffic, keeping in mind that the vehicle I was driving could weigh as much as 80,000 gross pounds. The goal was to get the product from his location to its new destination with no damage. As a driver, there was no set schedule for working, but all drivers must follow DOT regulations for their logbooks. I also worked in the yard, moving trailers and containers to stage them by driving the yard mule. I am capable of using a heavy-duty industrial sit-down forklift, Caterpillar or Hustler brand; these forklifts are capable of picking up 100,000 pounds. We would use these forklifts to stack containers three and four tiers high. Being safe at all times, remembering that accidents are 100% preventable.

Hello I was just like to say I think of myself as a self motivated person who has always been able to deal with the hand that he was given. Often tried never denied and willing to be tried again. I believe in teamwork with safety standing above all.
