Shipping and Receiving
3 Years 1 Month
Cardinal Health | 01.2021 - 02.2024
Shipping and receiving.
Receiving material from different vendors. Once the material arrives, the packing list is grabbed to confirm the material. The scanner is grabbed to be able to scan the label, the information of the scanner is read to confirm that it is the same as the box. Once confirmed, everything is received (a label is printed) once the label is printed, it is labeled to the box to confirm again that the product and the label match. Once finished receiving all the material, it is confirmed on the computer using the system.
Material is confirmed via PO (Purchased Order Number). If material goes to Juarez we manifest on a trailer by grabbing trailer number and dock number. Once grabbed information from trailer we create a trailer on the system and start manifesting all material. Once we finished we check that the pallets from the system match on what we have on floor.
Sit down forklift and cherry picker
As a part of the team of shipping and receiving I was certified to use the sit down forklift and the cherry picker I was a backup when someone didn’t show up or need it some extra help. I did drive more often the forklift about 2 years and the cherry picker about 1 year. I was as well certified by Toyota (inside the company of Cardinal Health) to be the trainer for 2nd shift. I trained people and certified them.
Closing Trailers
I was trained for closing trailers that goes to Juarez (working with Juarez costumer as well) by using outlook, excel, word and teams. (Other apps as well) we would check information that was provided from the receiver and we will print out the paper from the computer to see if the information is correct all this means like part number, quantity, if it was a emergency material etc. Once all information were provided we will proceed closing trailer, scanning all documents to email and sending it to the customer (juarez) creating a CIMA and we would wait for the DODA (this means that trailer can be crossed to Juarez)to come in once DODA comes in we would print it out with (yellow paper) so we could turn it in to the driver.
