As a Major with the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC), I manage inmates, develops case plans, and ensure 100% security and compliance with both staff and inmates as well as the Florida Department of Corrections rules and regulations daily. As a Major, I have the following responsibilities:

• Case management: I conduct interviews to create case plans for inmates.
• Behavioral assessments: I evaluate inmates' behavioral adjustment and criminal history.
• Custody ratings: I assist classification in determining housing, management levels, and custody ratings for inmates.
• Inmate guidance: I encourage and guide inmates to participate in educational, vocational, and substance use programs.
• Criminal history: I research and update inmates' criminal history
• Security: I ensure daily that all staff at my current facility follow all guidelines set forth by The Florida Department of Corrections.
