Analytical Research Laboratory Shift Supervisor

  • Supervise facility operations and maintenance personnel conducting activities within the facility as authorized by the POD/POW to support the completion of programmatic mission goals..
  • Ensure all activities are conducted within the authorization basis allowed by the facility’s documented safety analysis (DSA) and other authorization basis documents. Provide management oversight of ongoing experiments.
  • Make certain all work is conducted following approved procedures and that work activities are conducted in accordance with the governing work control procedures.
  • Ensure that necessary work permits are obtained and implemented for all work conducted within the nuclear facility.
  • Direct all emergency response actions within the facility until properly relieved by emergency response organization personnel. Maintain credentials to operate a nuclear facility.
  • Responsibility for work direction and reporting anomalies and failures to facility management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of facility Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs); administrative requirements for facility operations, maintenance, and modifications; and procedures for normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
