Detail-oriented laundry associate with proven experience in laundry equipment operation and health and safety compliance. Skilled in multitasking and teamwork, ensuring high standards in laundry operations.
I currently work at the Adams County Jail in the laundry department. I do daily laundry exchanges for the inmates. In the morning we go around to all the mods and pick up the bins from overnight. All the bins get separated before being washed. Towels. shirts, pants, blankets, etc. After we are done with our daily exchanges with the inmates we spend the rest of the day washing, drying, folding all the clothes. As we fold the laundry we have to inspect it for graffiti, tears, holes, large stains. The washers and dryers used in this facility are industrial size, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
As a Rail assembler I assembled the rails that the shades would hang on. First you would have to read the specifics of the order, whether it was a right hand or left, if it was a wand or if it was motorized. once you had the rail in front of you you would measure it, It could only be off like 1/8 inch up or down or it would be too long or too short. Then you had to attach the carriers to the rail, align the carriers, attach the wand or motor. In order to make these rails we had to use several hand power tools, a hand drill was one of them. There was lots of repetitive motion building these.
As a seasonal we did a variety of different tasks. Some days all we did was just scan the orders, box them up, put the labels on them and put them on the conveyer belt. Other days we might be the ones who would be picking the orders that needed to be shipped out, We had to stock our stations regularly, and keep a clean workspace all while being timely and efficient.
