Managing the landfill operations to ensure all activities were in compliance with safety, environmental and equipment maintenance policies. I worked closely with DM and Engineering team to develop sequencing plans to ensure density goals were achieved and ensure that the landfill was operated in a manner that is consistent with the conditions stipulated in the applicable permit. I worked with other managers in the business unit to execute a local market strategy that complements the Area’s overall strategic operating and marketing plans and implements tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The position oversees all matters related to the landfill operations and oversees effective safety and accident prevention programs and leads all operations to ensure compliance with standards; and drives change management initiatives to introduce and sustain new processes that contribute to the growth and durability of the operations of the business unit.
Customer Service & Sales: Greet customers, process payments for fuel, food, and merchandise, and handle inquiries or complaints.
Transaction Processing: Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems, scanners, and cash registers to handle cash, credit cards, and lottery sales.
Store Maintenance: Restock shelves, clean aisles, maintain restrooms, and clean fuel pump areas.
Safety & Security: Monitor the store for shoplifting, maintain a safe environment, and follow safety protocols for fuel dispensing.
Inventory Control: Check in deliveries, manage inventory levels, and notify management of low stock.
