I started running Cross Country in 6th grade and ran all thought my High School career. I severed as a mentor to underclassmen and I received a varsity letter every year.
I was in charge of a group of 12 to 18 year olds. I created meeting plans so that things would run smoothly and made sure everyone stayed safe.
National Youth Leadership Training, often called NYLT, is the current youth leadership development training offered by the Boy Scouts of America. My job was to teach a group of teens -some of witch where older than me- how to be a better leader and how to properly manage a group of scouts. I spent 6 months preparing for a week of this leadership camp.
Organize training, preparation and logistics to prepare for a two week backpacking trip. I was selected by my peers and had to make difficult decisions that impacted the safety and overall completion of this treek.
I was the first female Eagle Scout in my troop and county. I had to come up with a project, organize it, get it approved, complete it, and record everything that happened. For my project, I cataloged and organized a public school library and added all the books into a shared library program. The shared program made it so that other schools have access to books at this school and likewise for the school I was working with.
