I am a hardworking, dedicated individual with a strong background in hospitality, customer service, and administrative support. With more than 15 years of experience across hotel operations, front desk work, housekeeping, retail, housing programs, and personal care, I’ve developed a wide range of skills that allow me to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and with care. I always strive to be reliable, detail-oriented, and supportive to both guests and coworkers.
Throughout my career, I’ve handled everything from hotel front desk duties and night audits to inventory management, food prep, housekeeping, and even coordinating housing for families and students. I’m comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and I’m quick to adapt to new roles and responsibilities. The goal is to provide excellent service, keep things running smoothly, and contribute to a positive and organized work environment.
I'm looking to bring my experience and skills to a position where I can be a dependable part of the team—whether that’s in a hotel, as a front desk associate, or in an office/secretarial role. I believe in doing things right the first time, and treating others with kindness and respect.
I assist guests with reservations and special requests as promptly as possible, check in guests when they arrive, and handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional manner. I worked with RDP, Salto, and Digital Dining computer programs. With Digital Dining, I would put the item in the computer, so my co-workers only had to scan the items from the gift shop when a guest purchased something. I normally worked from 3 PM to 11 PM, which means that I would shut down the pool at 10 PM, along with cleaning up the pool area. I maintained cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, along with handling various administrative task such as filing paperwork, entering data into the computer systems, and photocopying documents.
I would assist with checking guests in and checking them out in the morning. I would clean up the dining room, lobby area, along with stocking all the condiments, and getting it ready for when I would have to put out the continental breakfast, which needed to be out by 5 a.m.
Conducted nightly audits to ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping. Monitored security systems to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. After running the nightly audit at 3 a.m., I would slide all the departure receipts under their doors.
My key responsibilities included greeting customers, running the cash register, stocking shelves, making 97 personal pan pizzas for the following day, and food and store prep for the upcoming day. Operated cash register and processed customer transactions efficiently. Greeted customers upon entrance to store and provided assistance with locating items. Updated pricing and sales signs to promote merchandise. Assisted customers with product, promotion, and policy information.
My duties included preparing and cooking meals, overseeing and passing out medications, helping clients get dressed, and assisting clients with everyday necessary tasks such as bathing, grooming, changing soiled clothes and briefs, cleaning clients' rooms, the bathrooms in the house, and the house itself. Making sure that the clients have what they need, and making them as comfortable as possible.
My duties included assisting the Housing Director with anything that she needed assistance with, doing monthly inspections not only on campus but also on the 24-unit complex on campus that we rented from the Housing Authority. I also had to make sure to contact security and maintenance a few days prior to ensure that one person from each department came along. I worked with the managers from two different hotels in Bismarck (Expressway Inn and Days Inn) so that when our students who had families arrived for the start of a semester, we would put them up in one of the two hotels until they could either get into the single-family homes located on campus or until they found housing themselves. I put in PR requests, worked with the Burleigh County Housing Authority since we had a 24-unit complex on campus with them, and also so we could get the single families that came to our college into housing as soon as possible by getting them on the housing list. I worked with numerous landlords throughout the Bismarck-Mandan area to place our students into homes, and we would help with their deposit and three months' rent up to $500, and I oversaw a housekeeping crew of five. I also completed a workshop that was held in Mahnomen, MN, on how to rent out and run the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Units that we had on campus. Answer the phone whenever the Housing Director was unavailable, too; give tours to our single-family housing options when they came by to see them. When we would receive the students' applications for housing, I would need to put them on the housing list that we would start new every semester, as it is a first-come, first-served basis. Then, I would put the necessary info needed into the computer, so that way we could best assist them when they arrived.
