Teaching young minds has always been a passion of mine at an early age. Receiving a scholarship in high to attend Wichita area of vocational technical school to receive a director level in child development professional is my first achievement
Attending Clovis community college while my husband was in the Air Force was the beginning of a teaching degree. Before I could finish, we moved to Johnson County and I attended JCCC. Working as a Preschool Teacher I was given the opportunity and scholarship to get my associates In early childhood which I achieved.
• Complete school-age modules (1-15)
• Attend training, seminars
• create weekly lesson plans for each center that is child directed
• Provide a safe environment
• CPR certified
• Interact and participate in daily activities.
• Guide a large group of children with a variety of ages, because when school is out the center becomes an after school program with ages 5-12.
• Able to have patience and to redirect children, and times of conflict.
• abide by the capital NAEYC Code of Ethics.
Associate of Liberal Arts 2016 JCCC accomplishment
I have been fortunate to have been able to be a stay at home mom for 15 years. I have loved every minute of it.. the best part was being able to volunteer as headroom Mom throughout her elementary years. When she went to kindergarten, I thought I would try out being a Preschool Para in her school, which she went to Gardner.. when the year was up, we decided to go to her homeschool, which was Clearwater Creek. I ended my position because it conflicted with being able to get her to school and wanting to be available.. however now that she is older, I would love to get back into the school system and work with kids again.
