• Evaluate and diagnose individuals with communication disorders using standardized assessments and clinical observations.

• Coordinate and run referral, eligibility, 504, and IEP meetings.

• Write 504 plans and IEPs, collaborating on goals and accommodations with other educational professionals.

• Plan and facilitate individual/group interventions focused on improving student communication and social-emotional growth, in-person and virtually; co-treat and collaborate with team members including LCSW, OT, PT, and special education teachers.

• Manage caseload of up to 80 students, data collection, progress documentation, consult with teachers and other staff, related paperwork.

• Program and provide instruction and practice in augmentative and alternative communication systems and devices.

• Provide support and advocacy in the use of FM systems to school staff and students with hearing loss and auditory processing disorders.

• Communicate and coordinate services with outside professionals, including medical professionals, neuropsychologists, mental health specialists, and private therapists (speech, occupational therapy, etc.).

• Provide consultation and professional development opportunities for colleagues regarding best practices and accommodations for students.

• Supervise and mentor undergraduate students and Speech-Language Pathology graduate practicum students.

• Evaluate and diagnose infants and toddlers with speech, language, and other developmental delays using standardized assessments and clinical observations.
• Create and implement treatment plans to address speech and language issues in collaboration with families and clinical professionals.
• Customize therapeutic interventions for culturally diverse populations.
• Provide parent and caregiver education and advocacy.
