  • Utility Tech/Loader when I started out as the entry position for Chlorine, Caustic and Brine. Preformed railcar inspections, tank truck inspections as well as railway inspections. Loaded caustic railcars, caustic trucks, unloaded HCL trucks, unloaded Sodium Bisulfite trucks, loaded Chlorine railcars, caustic barge, spent acid railcars and unloaded strong sulfuric acid railcars. Preformed minor maintenance on railcars and valves for the loading/unloading process and troubleshot issues when they arose. Moved up to Chemical Operator position for the Brine/ Cell Room side. Preformed routine rounds and sample throughout the brine process and after electrolysis in the electrolyzers for quality. Preform preventative maintenance on pumps and process equipment as needed. Routine maintenance on equipment that’s permitted when needed. Troubleshot process issues when they arise and critical thinking for solutions. Startup and shutdown process systems and subsystems in emergency situations, routine maintenance pms or any other reason that it may call for.

  • Senior operator in Reaction Line 1, Line 2, Coke-n-ore and Chlorine. Broke down, hooked up and ran chlorine rail cars, preformed normal maintenance needs like changing out gaskets, hooking and unhooking flanges and changing out valves. Also changed out couplings, tubing, belts for belt driven pumps and process strainers/filters. Troubleshoot process issues when arose and preformed maintenance if able otherwise notified maintenance crews if necessary. Operated valves, controls etc. for individual flow rates, pressures etc. Inspected equipment on daily rounds to ensure proper function and operation during the chemical process. Pulled daily samples for quality and operational purposes. Start up and shut down lines and processes in emergency situations and for maintenance pms. Also would Jet Rod furnaces during routine line shutdowns.

  • Built slitter heads and setups for specific metal orders. Operate the slitter machine as well as prepping metal for the machine and machine production. Collect metal samples for quality to ensure proper setup of heads for the cuts to be in spec. Follow our 5s guidelines on a clean workstations and good housekeeping practices. Preventative maintenance as needed and preformed roll changes as needed. Operated single tree cranes to load aluminum rolls onto the machine as well as moving the rolls in the area for prep work. Also operated c-hook cranes for unloading cuts off pins after the slitting process.
